Mahbodhi Temple Compleex Bodh Gaya spreads over 4.86 hectors(12.0 acres).The first temple was build by Emperor Ashoka in the 3rh d century BC(260BC) around the  Bodhi Tree Ficus religiosa(to the west of temple). However, the temple seen now are dated between 5th and 6th  centuries AD.The structure have been build in bricks. Revered and sanactified as the placs where Siddharth Gautama Buddha was enlightened in 513 BC at age 35, and then propagated his divine knowledge of Buddhism to the world .It was inscribed in the UNESCO in 2002.
